I have been caring for my wife with MS for nearly 25 years

Hi I’m Tony my wife was diagnosed with MS at a young age and I have been caring for her for nearly 25 years. Just last week she became violently ill and she was rushed by ambulance to the hospital. It turns out she had a kidney stone, but the hospital team could not concentrate on that as it was all about keeping her alive, she spent a week in the intensive care unit. She is back home with me now and my whole mission is to toughen her up and get her well enough for surgery. While she was in the hospital I started to initiate services we would need at home. I spent a full week on the phone to everyone I could think of for support and what took me 40 hours of work resulted in 4 hours of in home sessions being offered. This felt like a total bullshit systems response to me 40 hours of work for a 4 hour result, what I learnt is that it is better for me to just pay for carers as it is so much easier!
