Early communication with your loved ones is important

My name is Karen I am 38 years old and have learnt so many things when I was in the position of caring for my mum who had a long-term heart condition. One thing that really helped me to cope was having power of attorney and power of guardianship sorted out before it became too late. It meant that when things quickly went downhill for my mum I had already made these tough discussions. Early communication with your loved ones is something I would encourage others to do. If I became a Weaver I could teach so many things to others that you need to think about and prepare for because when all the emotional stuff hits, you can concentrate on that instead of all the systems stuff you need to do.
