How do I stop stress from building up?

Answered by Betty and Frank

What I tried….

I was finding I was snapping at my husband all the time, for little things. I felt terrible because they weren’t really his fault but it was all getting too much.

I went online and found some simple and quick deep breathing techniques I could use. Here’s the website that I found useful. When I was feeling stressed I walked away from the situation and spent five minutes out in the backyard practicing the breathing techniques!

What I said….

“I can’t go on like this, snapping at every little thing and feeling so overwhelmed is just not like me. I need to take control of this and help myself”

What I thought about….

When I’m stressed I don’t feel like I do anything well and I’m just not myself. How can I care properly for my husband if I’m not thinking straight?
